Hi everyone,
I posted to the Professionalism and ethics forum about this a little
bit.
Generally overall it was a very successful weekend. There was quite a
bit
more emotionality upheavals on a unique personal level for some.
If a student is not in the right frame of mind to be able to conduct
themselves
in a way that is not disruptive to the group, I would appreciate it
that they don't
come to the intensive. We had outsiders participating in the hands on
segment
as well as potential students there viewing the environment they may
attend the
school for. Luckily "this time" it didn't seem to affect anyone too
much in the negative.
But there were people that were quite put off by it and rightfully so.
The school is not for counseling and blowing off steam on a personal
level. It is a school
and will be conducted as such.
In the future some of you will receive notice that your intensive time
is over, even though you
have not finished your course work. The program is for one year of
intensives and completion of
the online course. We will be charging people to come to intensives if
they have not finished in a timely
manner and are extending further into the weekend intensive times.
I'll post here what that means exactly.
Also the cost of the program was increased to a level that is still
competitive to other schools but in the standard
for appropriate costs. So a new catalog has been made to be issued to
new students.
Folks that do no post to the proper forums in a timely manner will NOT
be notified that they are close to being in
trouble for it. They will be shut down from the class and will receive
an F in the course. The only way to rectify this scenario after such
an event is to pay for the course again.
Thanks to all that have been supportive in understanding the needs of
the school to put their foot down about
such things. Enough became enough and it is time for professional and
long needed enforcement of such things.
