Hello, I've been trying to install HaxeFlixel on Ubuntu (32-bit), but I'm having trouble with lime. First, I installed Haxe and Neko using the command in https://github.com/jasononeil/OneLineHaxe. Then, I tried installing lime using the command haxelib install lime. The files are downloaded and it looks like the installation is performed. However, after command finishes executing, I enter the command haxelib run lime setup, but I get the message that lime is not installed. How can I fix this? Or, to be more specific, is there a specific directory where I should perform all these installations? Thanks in advance.

Everything works fine for me.
I've installed Haxe on ubuntu using this script: http://www.openfl.org/builds/haxe/haxe-3.1.3-linux-installer.tar.gz
If you dont mind, please try this install approach;

I've written a small discovery about installing haxe on Ubuntu.

There was an issue with lime and haxelib related changes: https://github.com/HaxeFoundation/haxelib/issues/187

You can try `haxelib selfupdate` to resolve this, although this currently sometimes fails on linux.

Best,
Juraj

I tried using make to perform the installation, but with no success. I'been trying to format Ubuntu and start over, but I think I must be doing something in the wrong way. Thanks for your reply, though.

I've decided to try again and install the development envinronment on Windows, because of FlashDevelop integration in this operating system. Thank you for your replies.

Side question: why would you want to use a 32-bit version of Ubuntu?
That might be related to your problem. I have Lime/HaxeFlixel running
fine (installed on four Linux VMs, all 64-bit, including two from live
CD).

My computer needs to be configured to run a 64-bit virtual machine, and I fear I might do something wrong in the configuration process.

There is no need for special configurations.
You just need a virtualization software and a way to install ubuntu.

Try using virtualbox, its a great and free virtualization software.
And you can download a disk image from the ubuntu website.

Agreed, VirtualBox is also the way to go. I also primarily use (and
develop in) an Ubuntu VM (64-bit) that sits on top of Windows via
VirtualBox. As long as your Windows PC has 8GB of RAM, you should be
fine.

This is kind of off-topic, but I've personally had GPU tearing (on two
Windows machines with Ubuntu VMs) using 14.04 (the latest LTS
release). I suggest 12.04 (the previous LTS release) for that reason.
Your mileage may vary.
