HAWKEYE COMMUNITY THEATRE HAS SOMETHING TO SEE THIS AUTUMN
“...a thriller in every sense of the word. Suspense mounts throughout,
and the unexpected develops to a pitch that every now and then brings
gasps of surprise. It is a superbly contrived story working up to a
dramatic climax.”
– Edinburgh Evening News
“Tense melodrama”
– London Times
Hawkeye Community Theatre’s Annual Dessert Theatre will host Leslie
Sand’s mystery thriller, “Something to Hide” this coming October. The
show runs October 6th through and including the 11th, beginning at
7:30 each night.
This mystery revolves around a writer living in the countryside, his
publisher wife who visits on weekends, his mistress, an accident,
blackmail, a seemingly gullible inspector and colorful town folk all
woven into a web of lies and deceit. Filled with clever twists and
turns, it will keep you on the edge of your seat. Michael Shoopman
directs under authority of Dramatists Play Service, New York City, NY,
USA.
The cast is full of rich characters, who will take you into another
place and time; capturing you for a couple of hours of tense, tight
and thrilling entertainment. Grab your significant other or friend, go
out and dine at one of Fort Dodge’s fine eating establishments and
save room for dessert – HCT style!
THE CASTING:
Howard Holt – Dana Westphal
Julie Carolyn – Brandy Vrchoticky
Karen Holt – Sarah Livingston Smith
Inspector Davies – Jeffery Bluml
Mr Purdie – Mark Crimmins
Stella – Stacey Bochart
Miss Cunningham – Martha MCColley
The production has desserts available during intermission, with the
proceeds going toward a charitable organization. The show concludes
the 2008 regular season for Hawkeye Theatre, leaving the Christmas
Special in progress and set for early December.
