Have you ever read the books? They're phenomenal. While the legacy
does sort of end in July (July 15th is the last movie release), the
books will live on for awhile I think. I realize that they are
considered controversial in certain countries and in some schools, but
really the main theme is the fight between good and evil. J.K. Rowling
created a world that is truly magical.
