The remarkable team at Central Regional Hospital has configured

and extensively extended WorldVistA EHR into a truly outstanding

open source system for the support of Central Regional Hospital

in North Carolina.  This is a state operated, inpatient psychiatric hospital.

Changes made will also be of great utility to non-psychiatric

hospitals.

Joe Thurber will be discussing this on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the

41st VistA Community Meeting.  If you are unable to attend, there

will be a recording of his presentation. Joe is responsible for a great deal

of the programming that enhanced this system.

There are numerous links to recordings of presentations done by the

team members at CRH highlighting the wonderful innovations in the

system on that can be founnd on the WorldVistA.org web site in several

of the conference agendas.  Click on Conferences in the left hand

column on the home page of https://WorldVistA.org

We  hope that others will adopt some  or all of this software!  The virtual

machine can be downloaded from here.

In Linux, by using this command (example below), you can mount the virtual machine and the globals, routines, code, etc. can all be found in the Data directory.

guestmount -a "/home/nancy/CRH-VM/CRH Open Source VistA.vmdk" -i --ro /mnt/vmdk

You can then set up your own local environment that is not a VM.

I have extracted some of the files and posted them with the original VM at https://downloads.opensourcevista.net/CentralRegionalHospitalsVistARelatedSoftware-VirtualMachine

The CRHData.tgz contains that extracted Data directory.

The file SignoutAndHIE.7z has also been added.  It would have to be adapted to connect to your own HIE, etc., as it is not going to connect to the North Carolina HIE.

The link for the Central Regional Hospital VM has changed slightly.
