I just did the other two manuals, the User manual and the Advanced User manual.
Over the past several weeks, both the **Getting Started Manual** (`u1/`, ~47 pages) and the **Advanced User Manual** (`u2/`, ~240 pages) have been brought into alignment with the VA FileMan 22.2 PDFs (`fm22_2um1.pdf` Rev 1.5, `fm22_2um2.pdf` Rev 1.6, both July 2025). Both manuals now reflect 22.2 content, option IDs (`[DIxxx]`), the 8 new data types (BOOLEAN, LABEL REFERENCE, TIME, YEAR, UNIVERSAL TIME, FT POINTER, FT DATE, RATIO), and the new chapters that didn't previously exist in HTML at all.
The Advanced User Manual got the most work because most of the 22.2 additions land there. Two brand-new chapters were authored from scratch — **Meta Data Dictionary** (Ch 18) and **Data Synchronization** (Ch 19) — and two Other Options submenus, **Data Access Control (DAC)** and **Data Mapping (DMU)**, finally got dedicated topic pages. The Glossary went from 30 to 126 terms by mirroring the comprehensive vocabulary already in the Programmer Manual. A whole-manual style pass cleaned up V.22.0 → V.22.2 chrome across 236 files, replaced `
vista.med.va.gov` dead URLs with `
hardhats.org`, stripped 26 legacy `new.gif` markers (now superseded by the yellow `22.2` chip), and fixed the longstanding CSS bug that made H5/H6 headings render smaller than body text.
A final cross-reference verification pass swept every internal link, every cross-manual reference (`u1`↔`u2`↔`pm`), every image/CSS asset, and every `#anchor` fragment — all clean except two pre-existing dangling-anchor bugs (`e3_intro.htm#default` and `ei_sig.htm#Substitute_for_null`) which got their missing `<A NAME>` tags. Source, feedback, and pull requests welcome at **

**Notable additions worth flagging:**
- New chapters: Meta Data Dictionary (`u2/md_*.htm`), Data Synchronization (`u2/sy_*.htm`), Data Mapping/DMU (`u2/dm_*.htm`)
- New topic pages: Data Access Control/DAC (`u2/ds_dac.htm`), Meta Data Dictionary intro in Files chapter (`u2/fa_mdd.htm`)
- 8 new data type examples in `u2/cr_ex.htm` with full ScreenMan form transcripts
- "Limits on Reindexing Files" section (Patch DI\*22\*167 "Do Not Re-Index") added to `u2/ut_xref.htm` with forward notes on all 8 affected `^DIK` API pages in the Programmer Manual
- Glossary terms expanded ~4× to match the VistA-wide canonical vocabulary
