Thanks to this forum I woke up thinking about being happy;(not-I woke
up being happy). Anyway, it got the juices running in a happy
direction, that's good! So, first thing I did was to get my dictionary
out and look it up. I'll share it here: glad, content, lucky, fortunate,
from the old norse,"happ", meaning luck. Now, that all seems to
indicate a major component of chance or being in the right place at the
right time. Then I consulted other sources and I now think that you
very well may be lucky to be happy but you have a greater chance of
being happy if you work at it . One way of working at being happy is
to share.

Part of my awakening this morning was a thought, a mini movie- There
was this candle,it was light. There was the dark and it seemed sad and
evil. The brighter the candle glowed the less drakness there was.

The candle is happiness. How do we make it brighter?

I agree with you shirttavios, happy is a challenge, especially in
todays day and age. Sure, we could sit around and say that we are a
product of our environment, but we still have a choice. Earlier this
week when I refered to the happiness hop experiement, that was in a way
similar to the way I am interpreting what you are saying about
Happiness being an action, instead of an adjective.

As far as the candle, in my mini movie the candle represents Love, pure
love, Cookies and Milk Love. The kind of love you find in a kids eyes
when you teach them how to play heads or tails for the first time.
In reference to your candle mini-movie, I would suggest that to make
the candle brighter, we poor out the melted happiness. Poor it into
helping the hurt, hungry or hated. Poor it into the children, poor it
into the widows, poor it into the community we live and work in.
