Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We’re hoping that you have some luck this coming year with recruiting your volunteers.

Now that we’ve switched over to the new Volunteer Solutions and Disney is behind us, we wanted to check in and let you know a few things.

1-      There has been a good deal of traffic over the website with volunteers registering, we’ve had over 250 new volunteers since March 1st J

2-      Please remember to manage your projects, through www.HandsOnNortheastGeorgia.org using the agency login.

a.       Login in regularly, on the agency home page you’ll see tasks that your agency needs to complete, including a list of referrals received and hours needing to be verified.

b.      Please make sure that your agency has the correct contact information and DIRECTIONS!

3-      This system is more referral based than sign-up specific, if your project requires that the project shows as full, please let us know.  It is possible in this system it just requires an extra step on our end to get it started.

4-      Take advantage of the Agency Needs and Board & Committee Openings features.  These items, in addition to the volunteer projects, are forwarded to the Athens Banner- Herald for inclusion in the Blueprint.   And coming in April, Community Connection in partnership with the ABH will be starting an e-mail listserve for citizens and business leaders to receive these needs directly to their inbox.

We know that there are some things that we all need to get used to with regard to the new system, but there are some benefits that the old system didn’t have such as the agency needs.   If you are having trouble listing projects, managing your volunteers, etc.  please contact David Samchok at dsam...@communityconnection211.org or 706-353-1313 ext 238.  David is here M-Th from 7:30-12:30 to assist you.

In service,

Art
