PACE Bill Passes in Closing Hours of Legislative Session

The 2010 Missouri Legislative Session won't close until today at 6
p.m., but in the final chaotic hours, the environmental community
scored a major victory. The energy efficiency bill known as Property
Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) passed both chambers and is on its way to
the governor for his signature.

Sadly, several of our other priority bills didn't get through this
year, including green standards for state buildings. Other key
measures, like extending water pollution permit fees, are still in
limbo as the clock runs out on the session. Check MVC's website for
more details.

We will provide a full wrap-up of the environmental highs and lows of
the legislative session --our post-session “post-mortem” -- early next
week, so check back for that.
