Dear diane,    We need your help TODAY. Since its launch, $77 million has been allocated for the Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI). The resources support projects that are increasing access to healthy food, creating new jobs, and generating new economic opportunities in low-income communities across the nation. Much more is needed. We need to continue to help the millions of Americans in low-income communities, particularly communities of color, still suffering from lack of access to healthy, fresh food. The President recognizes this and has requested $285 million in his FY13 budget to support HFFI. Ask your Senators by this Friday, 5 p.m. (EST) to support the President’s Budget request for the Healthy Food Financing Initiative: click here to send an email to your Senator.
