An Appetite for Equity: Ensuring Access to Healthy Foods

CPEHN’s spring convening, An Appetite for Equity: Ensuring Access to Healthy Foods, is just a few weeks away!

We have just confirmed that Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), will be speaking at our Fresno convening, while Jim Houston, CDFA Deputy Secretary, will be speaking at our Oakland event.

Focusing on best practices and advocacy strategies, An Appetite for Equity: Ensuring Access to Healthy Foods will provide participants with:

  • Policy solutions to increase access to healthy foods in communities of color
  • Examples of promising practices for improving access in local communities
  • Opportunities to take action and mobilize on federal, state, and local efforts to advance healthy food policy
