Four January Workshops Left!
Month-Long Workshop Series: Improving Pastured and Free Range Poultry
Can't Make the Workshop? Attend the Webinar!
In January, the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) and its partners are offering a series of workshops on ways to improve your pastured/free-range
poultry operations.
The first workshop -- managing pasture for poultry -- began this week, but if you missed it, there's still plenty of good information
and conversations left to go!
At these workshops, we will have talks, hands-on laboratories, and local farm tours. Each workshop will be unique, and will feature experts in the field and local farmers leading conversations about husbandry, preventative practices,
coop design, marketing, profitability, regulations and more! These workshops will be held in Davis, California.
Partners in the training include University of California (UC)-Davis, UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE), Center for Last-Based Learning, and USDA-NIFA.
All the workshops will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per day or $40 for all five. The workshops also will be available as webinars
for $5 per day.
