farmers' market needs more patrons

Hello North Oakland Friends,
Unfortunately every Tuesday it rains and that is when our Healthy Hearts
Farmers' Market at the Children's Hospital Oakland. We really need more
support for the market to keep it going! I would love to see you all
stop
by, especially on rainy days to support the market and the program*.
We have 4 vendors:
1)JP organics- 5 acre-organic farmer part of the ALBAfarmers.org
program, small
farmer incubator program in Salinas- veggies, flowers, strawberries and
rasberries
2) J and J Farms- a pesticide free fruit grower- There should cherries
and
peaches this week, plus oranges, hoop house tomatoes, almonds and
walnuts
3) Med Food- packaged pita/chips/ and lots of Mediterranean dips
4) Vittle Vitals- Whole wheat, organic, breads and pastries made in
Berkeley.
Program
The Healthy Hearts Farmers' Market was created to provide
healthy
options and cooking demos to families whose children are suffering from
or at
risk of diet related diseases. We accept EBT and WIC coupons as well as
offer
free Beet Bucks vouchers for families from the clinic to shop at the
market for
