Summer of Solutions Oakland 2011

Summer of Solutions Oakland 2011 is a fellowship program to support young leaders, ages 16-30, to work together with the community for 8 weeks this summer to create self-sustaining, environmental, social justice, and economic solutions.

Oakland is a thriving community, with a deep history of political and social justice, and a rich network of active organizations taking bold action to create a peaceful, just, sustainable world that works for all.

Summer of Solutions fellows will get their hands dirty this summer supporting local organizations to create solutions and show the world what's possible.

Location: Oakland, California

Deadline: To be filled immediately

Type of Position: Full - Time (40 hours/week) / Part - time (10-20 hours/week)

Program Dates: June 17th - August 12, 2011

Benefits: $1000 stipend. Housing, food, and travel stipends available based on need.
