Climate change is expected to hit the Bay Area in serious ways. Superstorm Sandy on the East Coast showed that climate change is already impacting millions of people. Help the Bay Area get ready! Plans to prevent and prepare for the local impacts of climate change are being crafted now. Your input will help your community receive the necessary support.

Most Impacted Bay Area Residents
It's important that we hear from Bay Area residents who may be most impacted by climate change. Please pass the link on to people who can get the word out in communities described by one or more of the following:

Live or work in an area that could flood

Live or work in an area with poor air quality (dirty air)

Have asthma or respiratory conditions (heat waves can make air pollution worse)

Have other serious chronic health conditions

Sometimes have difficulty being able to afford food, housing, and utilities

Limited mobility (e.g. elderly living alone)

Limited access to transportation to evacuate in emergencies

Live in an institution (cannot evacuate on their own)

Reliant on electricity for medical needs (refrigeration of medicine, etc.)

May not understand emergency announcements in English

Job requires working outside on a regular basis

Dependent on agriculture for livelihood

Live in an area with a high risk of forest fires
