Dear friends-
We’re planning a week of actions to Refund Transit! Have you heard about it?

When we’re out waiting for the bus in the rain, we often wish there was more funding for transit so we didn’t have to wait so long. Well, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is about to decide the budget for the next 25 years of transit service. We’re asking them to ReFund Transit, but we also are asking them to support affordable housing for working families, and to support healthy communities.
But did you know right now that MTC budget is planning to pay $53 million per year Wall Street Banks in unnecessary fees – while NOT increasing our bus service and continuing a pattern of cuts? It’s time to Make Banks Pay to RE-Fund our Transit!
