Dear Rebecca, we are so sorry for the change of plan! We hope it doesn’t cause too much of an inconvenience. We have the opportunity to get $800+ in materials DONATED for the Planting Party! The thing is- we have to wait until the end of the month. We are changing this Saturday, 9/24 into a Volunteer Orientation that will be from 12pm-4pm. We will still have lunch and music, but we will be discussing the plans for our new Fall Planting Party date October 1, 2011 10am-5pm. We will be weeding, giving away seeds/ seedlings and planting advice to community members that stop by and conduct more outreach in the area to maximize community turn out on October 1^st.

Tassafaronga Park at the corner of 83^th Ave. and E St.

THEN:

Tassafaronga Farm’s GRAND OPENING and Fall Planting Party!

NEXT Saturday October 1, 2011

10am -5pm

Tassafaronga Park at the corner of 83^th Ave. and E St.

Come join the community in planting winter crops, listen to music and have a picnic lunch. Bring your children to play in the park!

See below for description’s of volunteer “Jobs” that we will need on Saturday October 1st. If you’d just like to come and check us out, feel free to do so! If you won’t be able to make it on Saturday, but still want to help out, there is a lot of pre-event work that needs to be done! Shoot us an e-mail to let us know what day this week you are available and we’ll find a way for you to help!
