HOPE's Built Environment Action Team has several events coming up in May 2011--we would love to have you join us!
 
Thursday, May 19, 2011
BEAT Meeting and Co-Chair Elections
4-6 pm
Location: HOPE Collaborative, 221 Oak Street, Suite D, Oakland
We will be discussing BEAT areas of work and updates, including Youth Greening Oakland (the youth park stewardship program HOPE has been convening), county transportation planning and support for complete streets inititatives, planning for a health element in Oakland's General Plan, and more. 
***Light refeshments will be provided. Please let us know if you need childcare or other accomodations.

Alameda County Transpotation Commission Hearing2:30 pm
Location: 1333 Broadway, Oakland, CA
 
HOPE members will be attending and testifying at this hearing where the Alameda CTC finalizes the list of projects for the Regional Transportation Plan. We will be expressing our support for projects that prioritize bus service and transit operations, as well as bike a pedestrian infrastructure. A Juneteenth BBQ in celebration of liberation and health in all its forms.  Food, animals, plants, music, performers, and children's activities.
