Greetings!
Over the next few weeks, we're organizing garden days with some of our partner organizations ... a chance for us get together a little more informally and put our collective energy for food systems change into action in a few Oakland neighborhoods.
Our first will be next FRIDAY, July 31st, 2-5 pm at the California Hotel with People's Grocery. We'll be working with them in the greenhouse to propagate plants.
Our second will be on WEDNESDAY, August 12th, 1-4 pm at 64th & Outlook with Oakland Food Connection. We'll be working with them to dig garden beds, mulch the ground, plant, and water.
All levels experience are welcome! Please let me know if you'd like to join us, and if you'll need a ride, by Tuesday, July 28th. Please pass on the message to friends and colleagues who are involved with HOPE but may not be checking email regularly.
