Subject: RE: A health care town
hall event during congressional recess
I want to thank Miriam for sending this out to you and for
you answering the call to action. This event is being sponsored by SEANC(State
Employees Association of North Carolina) and hosted by District 27 which is on
the campus of North Carolina
Central University.
We want as many active and retired state employees that you know to show up
because our state senators have given us the shaft concerning healthcare by
giving BCBS a blank check and balancing the budget on the backs of the
poor. We need your help by calling, e-mailing, or bringing someone to this
meeting to look the legislators in the eye and say that we are not going to
take their abuse anymore, that we demand healthcare for everyone no matter
what their economic standing in the community. Please share this flyer
with everyone and if you make calls, please use the script that I have attached
from SEANC should you be taking to a state employee. I have a list of over
1,000 names of active and retired state employees. We have 9 scheduled
townhall meetings across NC and if you have connections in Buter or Creedmoor,
I need a facility that will accomodate 200 people for the last of August
or the 1st of September. Thank you for any and all support given to this
effort. Don't forget to send me your list of attendees that will be there on
August 13th at my e-mail FFos...@msn.com.
