(BISMILAAHI R'RAHMAANI R'RAHEEM)
Dear Brothers & Sisters
Assalaamu alaikkum wa Rahmathullaahi wa Barakaathu hu
This month of Rajab, one of the Sacred months was started on Sunday, Monday
as well as on Tuesday by different countries / regions !! Thus 1-7-1436 fell on three days of the
week !! Majority of Muslims did not find any fault in such an anomaly. They did not not remember
that in a calendar such anomalies should not occur, especially in an Islamic calendar. Because
an Islamic calendar distinguishes Haram and Halaal.
How much hue and cry would have been there, all over the world, from all quarters,
including our own Muslim brethern, if 1-1-2015 falls on Thursday, Friday and Saturday??!!
No one will tolerate such errors in man-made calendar. But, majority keep silent when
such manipulations are made in Allaah's Calendar. Majority of muslims forget
that in the Kitaab of Allaah, there is only one calendar and that it will not have any errors.
Starting the month of Rajab on wrong day amounts to Nassie, which Noble Qur'an describes as
"ziadathun fil kufr". We request all to be careful not to repeat the same mistakes again and again.
On Monday (11 May) the moon was half and was overhead at Fajr. On Tuesday at Fajr we saw
the straight line has caved in and the horns are well defined and prominent.
Since in the Last Quarter, the moon attains the shape of a BIG crescent on a Tuesday the 1st
of the new month ( Sha'baan ) will start at Fajr on the following Tuesday (19 May).
Keep watching the moon everyday at Fajr and you can see " Al urjoon Al qadeem" (36:39) on
Sunday (17 May). Monday (18 May) is the day of conjunction and hence the last day of the month.
Sha'baan starts at Fajr on Tuesday (19 May).
Hadeeth teaches us that the Prophet (PBUH) observed all the phases throughout the year especially
those of Sha'baan. So, we request all to follow the Sunnah.
All are reminded that ending the Sacred month of Rajab on a wrong day (Tuesday or Wednesday)
too will end with committing "Nassie". ITHAQULLAAH !
May Almighty Allah keep all of us in the Right Path. Aameen.
Wa salaam
