(BISMILAAHI R'RAHMAANI R'RAHEEM)
Dear Br. Muzammil Siddiqi
Assalaamu Alaikkum wa Rahmathullaahi wa barakaathu hu
In Rabbiul Aakhir, we wrote two mails to you pointing out the errors which
crop up, very often, in your calendar, posted in Br. Khalid Shaukat's website.
We do not know what steps you have taken to rectify them so that it never occurs again.
You did not send any reply to us.
Alhumdulillaah ! This month was started by ISNA/FCNA on the correct day (Saturday).
Saudi Arabia too started this month on the correct day.
You started the month of Jamathul Awwal on the wrong day and last Friday was your 29th day.
As there was a Solar Eclipse at 09:35:51 UT on that Friday, it was obvious that no one
in the world saw the waxing crescent at Magrib on Friday. It is also now proved without any
ambiguity that ISNA/FCNA as well as Saudi Arabia do not depend on "seeing the waxing
hilaal at Magrib" in order to start the new month and that all of you depend solely on
calculation.
But, majority in the world has a mis-conception that ISNA and Saudi Arabia start the
new month only after seeing the hilaal at Magrib. The authorities too are not coming out
with the truth that they depend solely on calculations and not on "sighting with naked eye".
Such a silence puts the majority in confusion and the Islamic dating system ends up
with chaos throughout the world - Eid being celebrated on four days of the week, Lunar
Eclipse occurring on "11th" day of the month, Solar Eclipse occurring on "28th" day of the
month and so on.
Hence, it is high time that ISNA/FCNA as well as Saudi authorities announce that their
criteria is calculation and not Sighting.
This revelation will clear the doubts harboured in the minds of millions of Muslims and
pave way for the implementation of a Single Calendar for the whole mankind as envisaged
in Noble Qur'an (2:189).
We request you as the head of ISNA/FCNA to come out with the truth. We also urge you
and others in this mail-list to join hands with Hijri Committee to propagate, promote
and implement Allaah's Calendar in this world.
As wrote earlier, Hijri Committee of India has derived the following criteria based on
Noble Qur'aan and authentic hadeeths:
Consider the Universal Day, in which Conjunction takes place, as the last day
of a Hijri month and the new month to start from Fajr of the following Universal
Day, irrespective of the time of Conjunction and/or Sunset-Moonset timing at
Makkah or else where.
All are requested to study about this concept and to point out to us any difference of opinion
so that we all can work together for propagation, implementation & promotion of
Allaah's Single Calendar which Almighty Allaah has taught us and which all the Prophets
(Peace Be Upon Them All) followed.
May Almighty Allaah forgive all our sins, errors and faults and May He, the Almighty
provide all of us with a place in Jannathul Firdouse. Aameen
Wa Salaam
