Respected Madam,

Islamic Relief Pakistan a UK based International Non-governmental Organization has been working in Pakistan since 1992 and has reached over 2 million people having relief’s vision of a caring world, where the basic requirements of people in need are fulfilled. While responding to 2010 floods, Islamic Relief provided over four hundred thousand flood victims with food, non-food items, medical aid, water, sanitation, shelter and repair of village infrastructure like schools, health units, pathways and drains through integrated village rehabilitation approach.

One year on, Islamic Relief has decided to commemorate the resilience of our communities and the efforts carried out by Islamic Relief to alleviate the miseries of the survivors. Islamic Relief, in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of Arts, is organizing a national level event to showcase the capacities and competence of the flood affected children to reflect on their past, present and future. We will try to capture message of hope, resilience, dignity and determination through an art competition with the theme “ART FOR THE FUTURE” for children living in the flood affected areas where Islamic Relief is working.

We have the honour to extend a cordial invitation to join with us in reflecting One Year On after the biggest natural disaster in history.  The event will be attended by INGOs, national and international development and humanitarian organization working with the Government and people of Pakistan.
