CATCH OF THE DAY: Marie Avgeropoulos in The 100 |

Greek-Canadian actress, Marie Avgeropoulos is currently starring in Season 2 of The 100 , a post-apocalyptic drama television series that airs on The CW in the US, and exclusively on Netflix in Canada.
The 100″ is set a century after Earth has been devastated by a nuclear apocalypse, and the remaining humans left alive have taken refuge in 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time. Three generations later, 4,000 survivors are running out of resources on their dying Ark.
Marie was born and raised in Thunder Bay Ontario, and is the niece of Panagia parish priest Father Peter Avgeropoulos. Marie s first break in the entertainment industry came when she was 21 as a result of her favorite hobby, playing drums. While studying broadcast journalism in her home town, a friend alerted her to a casting call in Vancouver for a clothing commercial which was looking for drummers.
Since then she has appeared in numerous TV shows and in the movie 50/50 with Seth Rogen. Later this year she will be seen in Tracers, with Tyler Lautner. |
