It was pretty much a very boring show. I was very excited that my
call from a couple days ago, Tilda Swinton, won big. I didn't expect
it, but was glad I called her out a few days earlier.
It's funny, because my first two picks were on the first tableau of
the red carpet link.
I loved both Jennifer Hudson's dress and Marian Cotillard's dress.
Cotillard was a fish. Jennifer was a snake. The beads were put
together to suggest a leather look.
I didn't like the other 2.
Tilda's dress was very unusual but I wasn't crazy about it. Basically
looked like a velvet t shirt. She is so amazingly striking that she
really didn't need to put on anything special
Helen Mirren wore another pretty one this year, red with white lace
and beaded shoulders
It's the best of four red in the next tableau. Although it
photographed poorly.
The others were throwaway and unimportant.
Cameron Diaz came again in a wrinkled white dress. Looks very much the
same as the one from last year.
Calista Flockhart looked awful in her toga like dress, almost swimming
in it.
Forrest Whitaker has aged tremendously. I was amused by his bald
head. The light above him reflected perfectly in two special spots on
his head such that he appeared to have horns.
