Hello Artesians,

I am pleased to say that plans for improving the function and
safety of our well are coming along. Myself and other members of the
Steering Committee will be meeting on October 14th with staff and
department directors from the City of Olympia to discuss the specifics
of what the city has in mind. Our conversation will be guided by
H20lympia's mission statement which reads:

The mission of H2Oly to ensure free community access to Olympia's
historic artesian water.

Both empirical and anecdotal evidence stress the importance of easy
access to the water to drink on site and to take away. The Steering
Committee feels the term Park does not adequately describe the
function of our well so we thought long about language and came up
with the term Community Watering Station.

What do you think about this meme?

Ah, Jill. The sound of that: 'Olympia's" (i.e. Owned by Olympia)
resonated with me also in your suggestion: Olympia's artesian well.
That is exactly what it is in the parking lot and it is exactly what
it is in our dreams. The city could put it into their budget
anywhere, no matter what they call it.

Here here! I agree with Jill, excellent ( as well as the obvious best ) choice!
