November 18-2007:
Crime Within The Caribbean Community Of Nations:
There is a spate of Violence, Rapes, Murders, Abductions, Police
corruption, harassment, and governmental complicity throughout this
region. And it encompasses all Caribbean countries and Guyana
currently. This upsurge in national and regional violence, disregard
for the Rule Of Law, governmental corruption and illegal drug
trafficking, is now endemic within this region, with no end in sight.
Actions That Could Be Taken:
* All citizens MUST use any means necessary to petition their
individual governments to address these social ills immediately.
* Citizens MUST petition their respective governments to form and
encourage local, regional, and political community organizations, and
special committees, to brainstorm possible solutions for working
together, with the effort to find practical solutions and remedies for
this surge in criminal activities throughout the region.
* And finally, Governments, Police departments, and Local
Administrative Authorities MUST be held accountable to their
constituents for any wrong doing while in office, or when entrusted
with the people's money, and for adequate and non-partisan Police
protection.
Failing to do the things mentioned above, makes every citizen within
this region COMPLICIT, to these criminal activities and political
corruption by all governments within this region.
