June 13-2008:
We Are One People-With One Cultural Experience!
Today our society reeks with divisiveness, infighting, murder, rape,
finger pointing, mistrust, and terrorism. This scourge is eating away
at the fabric of our society and our individual being.
If this cancer is allowed to fester, it will grow beyond repair or
extraction. And the only way we as a people can survive, is to
realize that we are interdependent for our survival, growth, progress,
and evolution.
Until we are able to cast aside our political, social, religious, and
regional differences, there will be no peace, trust, or unity among
us.
Thus this nation and people will stagnate, to the point of total
cultural malaise and degradation. We owe our offspring a future they
can be proud of. A future where there is prosperity, growth, and
social stability.
Failing to lay the foundation now, will continue the suffering, ethnic
divisions, and societal depravity that plagues this nation of ours
currently. It is up to us all to take the 'Bull By The Horn' and
point it towards the direction we want it to go.
I beg you my fellow Guyanese, stop the killing of our brothers and
sisters, stop the political and ethnic divisiveness, and stop the
political finger pointing.
Let us all reconcile our differences now, before it is to late to do
so!
Derryck S. Griffith.
