Has anyone here tried this neat little program? I used to be an avid
WXSpots user a few years ago, but my interest eventually faded away.
Over the past couple months, I have really begun to use it on a daily
basis again. I think it's an excellent tool and has a place in the
weather world.
If enough people would use it, it could be a benefit to the NWS. I
believe one of the NWSO's in Ohio uses it during severe weather.
If you've never heard of it, or would like to try it, it's completely
free and harmless. I'm spotter L01GCW on it. I try to update my
local conditions every 2 hours. The big benefit is when there's
severe weather though. You can also get updated warnings to display
on the main screen. The author of the software, N3FJP (his name is
Scott), also has a nice and free warnings program on his website. I
used to use Interwarn, but have come accustomed to using WXWarning.
You can download it all here:

I think it could be a great tool for us along the gulf coast this
hurricane season.
