GUERRILLA GAY BAR COMMUNIQUE No. 33
Comrades,
When we started Guerrilla Gay Bar Los Angeles one year ago, we called out only one straight bar by name .
Now, the time has come to make good on these words from our manifesto: "Let the crowd at the Saddle Ranch tremble at the impending homosexual revolution!"
This Friday, June 8, at 9:30 P.M., for our one year anniversary, we'll be taking over the Sunset Strip's flagship of in-your-face heterosexuality,

That's right, comrades, in a defiant celebration of GGB's first year of revolutionary nightlife, we're going to the bar la.com calls "a wince-worthy cattle call for current and former sorority girls (and the current and former fraternity brethren who love them)."
This Friday, we're going to attempt the impossible: we're going to turn this heterosexual haven/breeder bastion/front-fucker fortress into pride weekend's best gay bar .
Don't forget to bring $4 to ride the mechanical bull!
SADDLE SORES
This is our most ambitious takeover to date - we make no promises that things will go smoothly, but we do anticipate it being a very interesting night, so you won't want to miss it. A few things to keep in mind:
The earlier you arrive, the better your chances of getting in, so we've moved the start time up to 9:30. Like most of the Sunset Strip bars, after 10, it's more crowded, so come at 9:30 to have a front row seat for all the action (and to watch the takeover's progress!)
There are pay parking lots all over the Sunset Strip, ranging from $8-20. Invite friends to carpool with you and make 'em chip in for parking.
Speaking of friends, as this is a Hollywood club, groups of guys may fare better at the door if they have a female friend or two accompanying them (also, GGB loves lesbians.) So, if you're a guy, bring your lesbian friends. If you're a lesbian comrade, consider befriending some guys at the door to help everyone get in.
If you're not able to get in for any reason, we suggest you walk a block or two east to the equally obnoxiously heterosexual, (but frequently less crowded) Miyagi's, have a drink, start a satellite-takeover, and then come back to reassess the situation at the Saddle Ranch.
