The Center for Biological Diversity, Upstream Solutions and the Environmental Law Institute are hosting a webinar to discuss local strategies to reduce climate change emissions and create equitable and healthy communities.

Cities and universities have been at the forefront of combating the climate crisis through plans that address climate concerns specific to their community. We’ll discuss how to build climate-resiliency around food systems, reuse /refill solutions, and gender empowerment and share research that summarizes the inclusion of these topics into climate plans.

The Center will unveil a new report titled, “Gender and the Climate Crisis: Equitable Solutions for Climate Plans” (https://bit.ly/Gender-Climate) and participants will leave with resources on why and how to include these topics into climate planning and practical policy recommendations to build upon this work.

Participants include:

  • Arielle King, Environmental Law Institute

  • Marcel Howard, Upstream Solutions

  • Stephanie Feldstein, Center for Biological Diversity

  • Kelley Dennings, Center for Biological Diversity

Join us on Thursday, June 9 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET for an informative and engaging panel discussion. This free event will be recorded and the recording will include translations and closed captions. A certificate will be provided to attendees to allow for submission to continuing education certification programs (i.e. environmental education, food, recycling and public health professionals).

Register for the webinar here - https://bit.ly/3MO1mKF

Please feel free to share this announcement with others. Thanks, Kelley
