I started my seeds about 6 weeks ago and had them in the garage under a
halogen light running (8-9) hours a day. Last week I came to the
conclusion that my plants where stretching because they didn't get any
real sunlight so I took them out for a few hours and they seemed fine.
The next day I had them out in the sun for 1 hour but it was hot and
many of my plants wilted and died within 1-2 days.
I think I learned from my mistake and want to see what others think of
my new plan for starting seeds.
1 - soak in water [3-4 days]
2 - seeds in bark-sponge plug in humidity dome constant halogen light
[6 weeks]
3 - one hour of real sunlight [1 week]
4 - full sun until harvest
The seedlings are sprayed one time, that being when they are placed
under the dome. If rockwool is used, it must remain moist.
Fluro lights or led lights work very well for seedlings.
The temp inside the dome should remain between 80 and 85.
If necessary use a heating pad on a timer to achieve that.
