You’re invited to a regional workshop on
Reducing Emissions from the Waste Sector as part of the Greater
Boston Climate Action Plan. We’re working to develop a regional climate action plan to reduce carbon emissions and other pollutants from six different sectors in the region, including waste and materials management.
Are you working towards zero waste goals? Interested in circular economy? Love compost?
During the 2-hour-long workshop we will hear from leaders from the region on waste, brainstorm strategies and actions for reducing emissions from waste at the local and regional level, and discuss equity and co-benefits
from these actions.
· When: Thursday, October 24th
· Time: 10am-12pm, with optional networking lunch until 1pm
· Where: Lexington, MA Community Center
· Register: Register here by Thursday, October 17th. Space is limited. Unable to attend in person? A separate virtual session will be held in November.
This workshop is geared towards municipal staff and committee members, non-profits, community-based organizations, companies involved in waste management, and others working on waste issues.
