AASHE offers a variety of relevant webinars, workshops and other programs. We invite you to browse the listing and hope to see you at one or more of these upcoming online events. Programs like the Campus Decarbonization Academy or Change-Making in Higher Education are crucial at this time to make a measurable impact!

WEBINARS

Webinars are usually held on Wednesdays, starting at 2:00 p.m. ET unless otherwise noted and are free for everyone to attend. The full schedule through next summer is available. Video recordings and presentation materials are available for members in the webinar archive at any time.

These programs provide in-depth learning experiences focused on advancing sustainability-related competencies and relationship building. AASHE offers scholarships to ensure accessibility for all.

FEATURED PROGRAMS


  1. APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN! Starting March 20, 2025: Campus Decarbonization Academy - This 6-month long, cohort-based virtual program is designed to empower higher education leaders to drive impactful decarbonization initiatives on their campuses. Featuring experts from higher education, business and civil society, real-world case studies, and practical tools, participants will gain a holistic understanding of the latest technologies, funding sources, and skills crucial for implementing decarbonization strategies. Gather your team and approvals, and apply to join us in this vital effort to decarbonize higher education! This program is a partnership between AASHE, APPA, NACUBO, SCUP and Second Nature.


  1. 2-part Workshop Jan. 13&16: Building a Sustainability Across the Curriculum Faculty Development Program for Your Institution - Are you ready to see your institution advance sustainability across the curriculum by engaging faculty in course creation or modifications to include or focus on sustainability learning? This workshop will introduce participants to best practice models and strategies that have been adopted successfully across the United States and beyond to help identify next steps forward for your institution.


  1. 6-part Course starting Jan. 21: Course: Introduction to Effective Change-Making in Higher Education - This course empowers participants to lead meaningful change in sustainability within higher education by developing personal agency, strategic leadership, and a deep understanding of institutional systems and stakeholders. Participants will explore organizational dynamics, power structures, and social factors to create actionable change strategies.


3-hour Workshops (@ 2-5 p.m. ET)


COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE

AASHE’s Communities of Practice are largely self-organizing networks of higher education sustainability advocates formed around specific topics of interest. Anyone is welcome to join, all you need is a free AASHE Account! Current communities include:
