Dear friends and colleagues-

Clean Tech Open (CTO) is currently recruiting startups for its 2025 accelerator cohort. If you have, or know anyone who has, an idea or early stage startup that is focused on helping the environment, I hope you consider applying or pass this along. Business ideas include products, services, and technologies. Applicants include individuals, businesses, and researchers.

The accelerator is a crash course in starting a business and provides contacts to funders, mentors, and other like-minded businesses  CTO is mostly US, but is active in other areas as well;  I am a mentor to startups in the northeast US region.

The 12 week program kicks off in June and is set up as a mini-MBA that takes you from developing a Business Model Canvas to customer discovery to financial models and eventually a pitch deck.  In addition, you will have many opportunities to network with industry leaders, customers and investors, participate in expert on-line live webinars and connect with other entrepreneurs. And, there are cash and in-kind prizes of $70k too!

Something unique and special about Cleantech Open is that each start-up is assigned four experienced and dedicated mentors (like me!). As a CTO mentor, I have seen the value and impact a diverse mentor team can have on the growth of a company. I can honestly say that we truly care about the startups we work with, and want them to succeed. Every mentor I have worked with puts in 100%.

The application process is open now.  Here is the application link.  Applications are open until April 13, but we encourage people to apply soon; the early bird registration deadline ($30 off) ends on February 28th.

There are in person and on line events around the northeast (and beyond) that you can attend to learn more. If you have any questions, feel free to email me directly. I am not sure I can answer everyone but will do my best!

The CTO website also has lots of information, including on how to get involved if you are not a startup.  Please check it out if you are interested in mentoring or sponsoring or partnering in some way. I can tell you that I find it to be a lot of fun, and it gives me hope to see so many people with ideas for how to make the world a better place. It would be great if you could let me know if you apply or reach out to CTO!

Amy
