Just a quick reminder to come out to the Avenue Pub tonight for your monthly event for brews, schmooze and eco-news!
Avenue Pub is opening their upstairs bar and balcony for us, so head upstairs once you're there. The bar has gone through a major renovation, and now features the best beer selection in the city, with rotating taps of local, regional and internationally recognized craft brews and great bar food. It's not the dingy parade stop it once was, so we're excited to have an excuse to stop in.
Futureproof is sponsoring the event, ordering in pizza from Slice and
providing information on who they are and how they're helping NOLA rebuild for the future.
Avenue Pub, 1732 St. Charles
6:00ish, Happy Hour specials will be until 7pm, but we’ll probably be there longer.
There's also a great activist event happening tomorrow night I wanted to let you know about:

The concert on September 19th will not only help us sustain our
grassroots and financial momentum, but will provide another opportunity
to fill out more postcards to our City Council reiterating our
long-standing requests: An independent side-by-side cost benefit
analysis of the two competing hospital proposals, the official hearings
before the City Planning Commission and City Council required by law,
and the inclusion of an evaluation of the hospital proposals within the
ongoing master planning process. More at
