Schreiber to Build New Facilities Downtown

The City of Green Bay is proud to announce Schreiber Foods' commitment to downtown by building a brand new Global Technology Center and Home Office.

Schreiber Foods has selected the vacant Washington Commons and surrounding property for the two facilities, at approximately 222,000 total square feet of development.  The project proposal includes land available for future expansion of the dairy company's headquarters.

Mayor Jim Schmitt comments, "This is a big project for our downtown.  With the removal of Washington Commons and surrounding properties, this clean site will be perfect for Schreiber's $50 million development and over 500 professional jobs in our downtown."

The City of Green Bay's Redevelopment Authority will review Schreiber Foods' project proposal on June 14, 2011, with final approval by City Council on June 21, 2011.  Schreiber Foods hopes to begin construction on the project in spring 2012 if the project is approved.
