Hello Shelter friends,
With the shelter closed for the season, we as a community can still
lend support for those who are experiencing homelessness.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:30 p.m. here at St. John's
Homeless Shelter for a forum on transit in the Green Bay area.  Find
out more about the importance of public transit to people in our
community and lend your support to this essential resource.  Attached
is a event flyer with more information.

Working with our shelter guests, we realize what a critical role
transportation plays.  Public transportation is key to our guests
getting to work, medical and other appointments, and college classes.
In the winter time, the transit system provides needed safety for
people who would otherwise have to walk in the bitter cold, ice and
snow.  Many thanks again to all who made a donation to the Fr. Guy
Blair Boot and Bus Pass Fund.  This fund made it possible for the
shelter to provide monthly bus passes to those who had no other
transportation options.

Thanks for your ongoing concern and support for the homeless in our
community.  We hope to see you on Wednesday.
