Greetings!
Don't forget tomorrow is our Annual Awards meeting for those who enjoy mileage tracking. Parking is a pain at the garden center so please consider commuting by bike! I will be bringing pizza and salad.
As mentioned below, we will be holding brief memorials for Joe Castino and Paula Erikson. If the awards aren't your thing, you can still attend to pay tribute to two valued GEARs members and leave afterwards.
GEARs Annual Awards Recognition Meeting
6:00 PM – Wednesday, January 28th
Eugene Garden Club 1645 High Street, Eugene
The club will provide food and drinks. Please sign up on Sign-Up Genius if you plan to attend, so we can accurately estimate the number of attendees.
Afterwards, there will be a short program where we’ll present the 2025 Ride Leader of the Year award and recognize outstanding achievements by the impressive GEARs Riders.
In addition, we will hold brief memorials for Joe Castino and Paula Erikson, two dedicated GEARs members who passed away recently.
Curious about who had the most elevation per mile among riders with ten or more rides? Or who averaged the highest elevation per ride? We’ll take a quick dive into some fascinating data gathered by GEARs’ resident data enthusiasts. This tech-driven segment is not to be missed!
