Hello!
I’d like to highlight a few volunteer opportunities coming up in the coming weeks. Please make sure you have filled out the districts volunteer background check before signing up to volunteer. The links to sign up for individual activities are below, but make sure to keep an eye on the Springfield Group Signup page for new opportunities as they’re posted. https://signup.com/go/MESjSje
Learn to Rides:
I will be leading Learn to Ride classes at Two Rivers Dos Rios Elementary School for Kinder and First graders 12/1-12/19. No experience necessary to come help with the silliness of riding a bike for the first time! Classes are every day with First Grade starting at 1:00pm, and Kinder at 2:00pm. Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/vGUcKSg
***Walterville Elementary will be our next school starting right after the New Year (1/6-1/23), so check back closer to those dates!
Bike Safety Education:
Agnes Stewart Middle School’s 2nd BSE session will run 12/8-12/19, with community rides happening on the last two days of class. Volunteers will help teach new riders in 6th grade PE classes and provide additional supervision and support during community rides. Classes are from 1:30-3:00, please arrive 15 minutes early. Again, no prior experience is necessary! Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/DjkUset
Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for all you!
Best, Christina
