Hello GEARs Community,

Beyond infrastructure, I’m interested in how we can promote better visibility and safety for riders during the rainy season. Does the group have any upcoming safety workshops or organized group rides focused on teaching new riders how to navigate busy intersections safely?

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Hi Bella
My name is Kayna. Currently we have nothing upcoming but I think it’s a great idea!
A few ways we can help to promote and educate are by posting some tips in our newsletter (we previously use to feature a safety section with different topics each month).

We can do a program or partner with another group to do some safety programming to broaden the reach.

These sort of efforts come and go within the club. We are 100% volunteer ran so it’s a matter of when we have folks with the capacity and motivation to lead them.

Are you interested in helping us achieve something like this or more inquiring because you are wanting to learn more in that area?

Happy to help make something happen either way.

Thanks for your interest in the club! We love to see new faces.

Cheers,
Kayna
