The Eugene City Council has asked for a Community Climate and Energy Action Plan. A key aim of the plan will be to reduce total, current, community-wide, fossil fuel consumption by 50 percent by 2030. We are working with many community partners, and we need your input and support!
You are invited to participate in a Land Use and Transportation public forum on December 1st from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. at the EWEB main office in Eugene. Our question: “As we look at climate change and rising fuel prices, what are the most important actions for our community to take as they relate to Land Use and Transportation?” Issues include:
· Greenhouse Gas Emissions
· Fossil Fuel Use
· Preparing for a changing climate
· Adapting to the rising cost of fuel
