Lessons from Ontario: Engaging people with disabilities in Micromobility Projects

In this webinar, municipal practitioners will share a variety of methods for engaging people with disabilities based on bikeway design in Toronto and a shared e-scooter/e-bike program in Ajax. The Toronto example will look at how participants’ feedback has been used to refine future design standards and enhance consistency in accessibility. The Ajax example discusses engaging pedestrians with disabilities, notably people with sight loss, in implementing a campaign encouraging safer behaviours among people using e-scooters and e-bikes.

 Presenters:

·         Armi De Francia, Town of Ajax

·         Sonya De Vellis, City of Toronto

·         Igor Samardzic, City of Toronto
