A Great Day for a Memorial Ride! A Ride to say our goodbyes to a Wonderful, Caring Leader in GEARs and Friend. RIP Paula Erickson and Thank You!
Most of the Riders stayed and listened as several shared about Paula’s influence them and towards others in GEARs & Beyond!
I truly believe she is up Heaven encouraging all the Angels and Spirits to get on their bicycles and start Riding, that she’ll be there to catch them should they fall!
Thanks to Tim Vignos (long time member) who not only showed up, but picked up Paula’s Husband – Curtis, who shared memories of Paula with us!
There were also several of Paula’s GEARs Board Members in attendance, as well as a few Past Presidents. Even Garry Swanson showed up on his first 2026 GEARs Ride. His saddle is a little closer to the ground now, but he can still roll those wheels forward and his Riding Smile is back!
Most of our favorite memories had to do with “The Cinnamon Roll Ride” that detoured to hers and Curtis’ home.
Camas Bakery outdid themselves in providing us Cinnamon Rolls, Coffee/Tea and a beautiful place to gather and remember! Thanks Camas Bakery!
And thanks to GEARs and the Board for funding this event that we try our best to hold once a year!
