Rides - Reminder & New

Hello GEARs,

The last 6 months has found GEARs with a loss - Joe Castino, Paula Erickson and now David Morris - and we have been and will be saddened by any loss in our Membership.

One thing that we keep doing is Riding - because that's what we do and oftentimes Riding fills our souls when other avenues may not.

With that in mind, I do want to remind everyone about the Memorial Ride we will be doing for Professor Joe on May 30th.  We will Ride Sovern Lane, stop at Camas Bakery to Honor Joe - we hope there will be folks willing to speak a few words about our Friend Joe.  At the completion of the Ride, some of us will end at "New Day Bakery" for bite to eat.  Joe frequented New Day and the owner Bill and Joe became great friends and we just want to show Bill that we appreciate him as well.  There are 3 speed level groups - I hope you will join us.

Additionally, although it is not on our May Ride Schedule, I will be leading a Ride on Friday, May 22nd, 9:00 am, on the route below at an 11 to 13 mph pace, 56+ miles and 1767' gain.  Look for Signup Genius to list it soon!  Peace, Larry
