Hi all!

Thank you all for being amazing, enthusiastic volunteers for our local Safe Routes to School programs. I’ve had the chance to meet a few of you already, but for those I haven’t yet met—my name is Christina Lundahl, and I recently stepped into the role of Springfield SRTS Coordinator following Jack’s departure.

A quick introduction: I’m a recent grad of the University of Oregon with a BA in Planning, Public Policy, and Management, as well as Political Science! This past year I interned with SRTS, supporting learn to ride classes and working with another intern to update the district’s supplemental transportation plan. I was also involved with LiveMove, a transportation and livability student organization where I co-planned a community transportation fair and organized professional development opportunities for students. I look forward to getting to connect with everyone either this summer or in the fall as events and classes ramp back up!

If you’re looking for a fun and engaging opportunity this summer, we’re running Learn to Ride classes for PreK-1st grade students with the summer school Migrant Education Program (MEP) at Fairfield Elementary. Spanish language skills are a bonus but definitely not required! Our second of four weeks kicks off tomorrow, and we’d love your help. If you're interested in volunteering, sign up here!  https://signup.com/go/ySTxogE

Best,

Christina
