Tom Butler wanted to invite anyone from GEARs to join us here for a ride around Lake Washington. They are putting together what they hope will be the largest team in the Tour de Cure PNW. This is the annual fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. We are currently the top team, and I want to keep it that way.
By having a large team, we will send a message to everyone around us that cycling is a great way to stay active later in life. We have a jersey sponsor so we will all have matching jerseys.
He would LOVE it if a group of you could come up. If people are interested, I will work on a place for you to stay.
He is pushing people to register early because I need to order the jerseys soon to guarantee that they are here in time. Also, the earlier people register, the more time I have to help them fund raise.
The registration is only $30, and I have some organizational sponsors that can help with the required $250 donation. People can register at our team page by clicking the “Join Our Team” button.
Tom attached a document that was put together to help people get donations. I also attached an image of the jersey.
Here are the route options. https://ridewithgps.com/events/455983-2026-pnw-tour-de-cure
Let him know if you have any questions. I would be great for you to meet some of the people who ride together here.
