There is still time to Register and ATTEND,
Please attend "Turning up the Heat on Medicare Direct Contracting and REACH" on Monday, May 23rd from noon to 1:00 p.m. This online event will provide information on the dangers to Medicare from new payment models called Direct Contracting and REACH. Health justice advocates have raised alarms that these models would privatize our traditional Medicare program, give substantial profits to investors and insurance companies, and provide poorer patient care. Advocates also raise concerns that older Americans are automatically being enrolled in the program without their consent.
"Turning up the Heat" presenters will go into more detail about what Direct Contracting and REACH are, the dangers they pose, and actions being taken in Congress to stop them. You can also read about threats to Medicare in the attached fact sheet at the bottom of this email.
