We had this problem with a BHS briquette machine last summer.  We drilled the material then used a press to push the material out.  Drill a lot. We broke the first press we used.

ah .. now I understand..  Ok... what you need to do is to meter into your material that use are densifying , some lubricant like , lignin, soy oil, corn meal, fryer fat , whatever that will help you get the process going consistently. Once you have identified a material that will solve your plugging problem then you can establish a set up that will meter in whatever you have success with. You will have to play with the amount because too much will make a poor product.
