Call for Submissions-- ALA Graduate Student Award
The ALA Graduate Student Award is given to the best Graduate Student
paper presented at the annual ALA conference. The award-winning
student will receive $500.00, a certificate of accomplishment and the
paper will be published in the next issue of the Journal of the
African Literature Association (JALA). In addition, the winner will
be recognized at the award ceremony at the annual meeting.
We encourage graduate students who plan to attend and present at the
conference to submit their papers for consideration.
Submissions should include:
- a letter of application with contact information for the upcoming
academic year.
- a .doc or .pdf copy of the conference paper
In order to be considered, submissions should be emailed to the Award
Committee Chair, Dr. Oty Agbajoh-Laoye at

submissions must be received by email by midnight on January 30, 2011.
